Please note doors open at 5:45 PM. We anticipate a full-capacity event--see "Notes on Attendance" below for guidance.
Enjoy a night of live music from Chicago-based ensemble, The East Loop. The band brings together African American, Middle Eastern, and South American music in their dynamic, original compositions. Come experience The East Loop perform a blend of music traditions including Jazz and Maqam.
Programs are open to all, on a first-come first-served basis. RSVPs not required, but appreciated.
NOTES ON ATTENDANCE:
Due to the high level of interest in this event, we anticipate a full-capacity audience. The auditorium will be open by 5:45 PM and we highly encourage arriving early. RSVPs do not guarantee admission, but are greatly appreciated. Seating will take place on a first come first serve basis until we reach capacity.
Presented in partnership with Northwestern’s MENA Student Association and held in conjunction with Taking Shape: Abstraction from the Arab World, 1950s – 1980s.
