How do representations of black women/women of color "brand" TV networks and/or film/TV studios? Join professors Aymar Jean Christian and Miriam Petty as they watch clips of recent critically acclaimed cable and TV shows like Insecure and Queen Sugar and discuss how they fit into strategies of major film and TV brands. This screening will also include the screening of a Chicago-made indie TV series developed by Christian with a Q&A focused on their artistic and marketing goals.

Presented by the Block Museum of Art in partnership with the 2018 Evanston Literary Festival.
